Our Story

Cohort 400 farmers holding their training certificates
Cohort 400, certificate day — 24 farmers graduated

With roots in Addis markets and Bishoftu farms, our story is teaching neighbors to raise birds.

We film everything we teach. Daily videos on breeds, layers and chick care grew a backyard coop into classrooms, supply lines and a graduating class every month — each farmer leaving with a certificate and a flock of their own.

“Nowhere in Ethiopia can the warmth of community and the quality of poultry training be remotely compared to Chicken Addis in any aspect and it is hands down the most remarkable place I have ever farmed in.”

Choosing the right course or coop

Foundation is for beginners: shelter, feed and flock health. Scale-Up adds layers, yields and costing for working farms. Breeders' Camp covers cross-breeds and hatchery craft.

Never raised birds? Start with Foundation. Keeping 50 or more? Join Scale-Up. Planning a hatchery? Talk to us about Breeders' Camp.

Foundation suits families learning together. Youth groups get discounted seats and a shared demo coop to copy at home.

24 farmers per cohort, kept small on purpose. Cohorts repeat monthly, now enrolling Cohort 401.
